and closer to “home” i have checked out of holiday inn express and am now “squating” in the apartment suite next to mine while restoration work is being completed, hopefully by the end of the month.
i did notice that it has a crane toilet.
crappy!
this morning i sent an e-mail to the Boardwalk CEO/President and CC’d VP Legal Affairs, VP Customer Service, and the Area Coordinator for Red Deer. less than an hour later work orders were put through.
and work on drywall teardown and carpet extraction started today!
you can see here how they are replacing drywall a couple feet up; this wall separates my bedroom from the living room…

after all the decluttering, reorganizing, and rearranging, the great toilet flood of 2006 obliterated my efforts.
i am officially homeless and without my stuff. my insurance company arranged to have all my belongings moved out while my apartment gets recarpeted. no one seems to know when that will be.

i am now living in the sunny “holiday inn express” resort across the mall… on the bright side, i do have a king-size bed and close proximity to product at shopper’s drug mart!
