The new Coal Branch Archives room was added as part of the recent Library renovations and staff has been hired to create a functioning Archives at Hinton Municipal Library.

The Archives has been built with proper environmental conditions, a catalogued collection and study tables. Archival material includes photographs, letters, diaries, manuscripts, etc. Also, the local newspaper, Hinton Parklander, is available on microfilm from 1955-2005.

Researchers can access the Archives to investigate family & community history. Marilyn Campbell, Archives Technician, is available Wednesdays & Fridays.
